Prime Minister: A specific deadline for announcing prices on all commodities

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held an expanded meeting today on controlling commodity prices, in the presence of Dr. Ali Al-Moselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Dr. Ayman Hossam, Head of the Consumer Protection Agency, Major General Essam Al-Azab, Deputy Assistant Minister of Interior for the Economic Sector, and officials of the authorities. concerned.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed that in light of the exceptional circumstances the countries of the world are currently going through, and an unprecedented crisis, including Egypt, it is necessary at the local level to have declared prices for all commodities at the level of the Republic, while dealing with extreme decisiveness with any place that is not announced. Prices, pointing out that the government’s priority at this stage is to ensure the availability of commodities at appropriate prices, so it will set declared controls and strict procedures once morest those who do not adhere to the state’s instructions in this regard.

The Prime Minister stated that there are clear assignments for all oversight agencies to agree on a specific deadline, following which the periodic passage will take place, and to deal immediately with any outlet – such as retailers and shops – that does not adhere to announcing the prices of commodities, or exaggerates their prices, as well as those who hoard commodities. , or hide it from citizens, stressing that the agencies have assignments to close the sales outlet and confiscate the goods they offer, and resell them for the benefit of citizens, as a specific period will be given to reconcile the situation, following which the control agencies move to implement these assignments.
