The young woman was unable to resist the severe injuries and died minutes later while receiving medical attention.
A young Honduran woman died this Sunday followingnoon in a road accident, following a priest ran over her when she was going backwards with her car.
The incident occurred in the Solano neighborhood, López Arellano sector, in Choloma, north of Honduras.
The victim, who was on the eve of her marriage, was identified as Maritza Lizeth Munguía Montes.
After the accident, the seriously injured young woman was taken to a clinic, however, she might not bear the injuries and died minutes later.
Munguía Montes congregated in an Evangelical Church of the Prince of Peace.
The 22-year-old was regarding to get married this coming week and according to her relatives, she was very excited regarding the procedures, without imagining that she would die tragically.
How the accident happened
According to witnesses, the priest carried out the maneuver without noticing that at that moment the young woman was crossing the street, so it all happened accidentally, by the time he realized it was too late.
He was detained for investigation purposes.
