Prices still falling

Fuel prices were still down yesterday, according to the latest scale from the Ministry of Energy and Water.

The prices of 95 and 98 octane petrol cans have thus fallen by 16,000 pounds and cost 611,000 and 623,000 pounds respectively. The 20 liters of diesel, used by the vehicles, now cost 667,000 pounds after a decrease of 8,000 pounds. As for the gas cylinder, it is priced at 318,000 pounds, down 5,000 pounds. The price of fuel oil, used in particular to supply private generators and priced in dollars, amounts to 1,079 dollars per kilolitre, against 1,098 dollars previously.

In one year, the price of 20 liters of 95-octane gasoline has increased by 1,489%, according to the Lebanese research center Information International.
