The National Food Agency (Bapanas) noted that the prices of a number of food commodities had mostly increased, from rice, onions to red cayenne peppers, reaching IDR 55,160 per kilogram (kg) as of Wednesday (28/8) morning.
Based on data from the Bapanas Price Panel at 07.00 WIB, food prices at the retail trader level nationally increased on average, such as premium rice which was seen to increase by 3.01% or IDR 470 to IDR 16,060 per kg.
Then, the price of medium rice also rose by 2.79% or IDR 380 to IDR 13,990 per kg, as well as Bulog’s food supply and price stability (SPHP) rice rose by 1.19% or IDR 150 to IDR 12,740 per kg.
Similarly, the price of shallots also rose by 18.42% or IDR 4,630 to IDR 29,760 per kg, while garlic bulbs also rose by 8.77% or IDR 3,490 to IDR 43,280 per kg.
Likewise, the price of curly red chili commodities also rose by 7.57% or IDR 3,150 to IDR 44,780 per kg, then red cayenne pepper also rose by 6.49% or IDR 3,360 to IDR 55,160 per kg.
Then the price of pure beef also rose by 1.15% or Rp1,550 to Rp136,350 per kg, broiler chicken also rose by 8.85% or Rp3,100 to Rp38,110 per kg, and broiler chicken eggs also rose by 7.83% or Rp2,230 to Rp30,700 per kg.

Next, the price of dry soybeans (imports) was also seen to increase by 3.87% or IDR 460 to IDR 12,350 per kg, then consumer sugar also increased by 2.86% or IDR 510 to IDR 18,350 per kg.
Furthermore, simple packaged cooking oil was observed to increase by 5.05% or IDR910 to IDR18,820 per kg, while bulk cooking oil was observed to decrease by 2.49% or IDR400 to IDR15,690 per kg.
The price of bulk wheat flour rose by 4.98% or Rp510 to Rp10,760 per kg, while non-bulk wheat flour also rose by 5.66% or Rp750 to Rp14,010 per kg.

Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level rose by 6.17% or IDR 370 to IDR 6,370 per kg, as did the price of iodized fine salt which rose by 5.85% or IDR 670 to IDR 12,120 per kg.
Next, the price of mackerel rose by 12.60% or Rp4,650 to Rp41,560 per kg, tuna also rose by 13.12% or Rp4,180 to Rp36,030 per kg, and milkfish was also seen to rise by 2.67 percent or Rp880 to Rp33,800 per kg. Ant/N-2)
