The 3DCenter portal has published fresh statistics on prices for Radeon RX 6000 and GeForce RTX 3000 graphics accelerators. Prices for video cards have not yet reached their recommended values, but things are moving in the right direction – prices have become even closer to those declared by manufacturers.
Overall, graphics card prices are down regarding 5 percentage points from April. Thus, the markup for the Radeon RX 6000 models now averages 7% instead of 12 last month, and the markup for the GeForce RTX 3000 models has dropped from 19% to 14%.
Although many entry-level and mid-range accelerator models are sold with up to 10% mark-up on the recommended price, many high-end models are on average 22% more expensive than the recommended price. Demand for these cards is now high, as many potential buyers have been putting off buying them when most graphics cards were unavailable or offered at twice the price or even more.
As always, the latest 3DCenter report reflects the price dynamics only in the video card market in Germany and Austria. In other countries, the cost of accelerators can vary significantly.
