The dollar in Colombia closes the week of February 13 to 17, 2023 with falls, but remained above the 4.900 pesos.

The currency opened the day on Friday at 4,950 pesos and did not register, at any time, values ​​higher than the 4,966.33, the Representative Market Rate (TRM) of the day.

The maximum value of the coin during the day was 4,963.60 and the minimum, 4,883.80 pesos, trading once more below the 4,900 barrier.

Other values ​​at which the currency was negotiated were 4,906, 4,928.15, 4,934.38, 4,935.34, 4,936.25 and 4,938.88 pesos.

In the end, the average trading price was 4,919.42 pesos, 46.91 pesos less than the TRM of the day.

During the week, the dollar gained more than 100 pesos, since the TRM on Monday the 13th was 4,777 pesos. And, comparing the average trading prices for Monday ($4,818) and Friday, the exact increase was 101,42 pesos.

Arnoldo Casas, investment director of Credicorp Capital, He said that the price of oil below US$80 is influencing the price of the dollar in the country in recent days.

He also considered that it influences the social and political situation with the reforms that the Government is presenting. In addition, he considered that inflation, and forecasts that it will continue to be high, are impacting the exchange market.
