The dollar experienced a strong drop in Chile during the last week of December. In general, during November, the price remained above 900 pesos or around that amount, but in the last month of the year it has fluctuated more.
The value of the US currency, of course, depends on several factors: stability of the New York Stock Exchange, world events (for example, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine) and the situation of the country (it has already been confirmed that there will be a recession).
Chile is not in the best economic moment and during the last months the price of the dollar has been an important issue, particularly when it exceeded 1,000 pesos. Now with greater stability, its value has been below that figure and closer to 900.
