Until today it is one of the issues that has taken over the economic agenda, although the measures implemented in order to correct the situation are beginning to give favorable results. The high value of the dollar reached levels never seen before in Chile, above the $1.000, to the point that the Central Bank had to intervene in the market to stimulate a decrease in the amounts.
In the long run, the measure of the economic authorities has given results. At present, the price of the currency left behind the peak of the month of July, an opportunity in which it kept exceeding the barrier of $1,000 on several days.

This Tuesday, and according to information from the Central Bank in relation to the observed dollar, the day begins with a currency value of $893,19, an important figure since throughout July it remained above $900. Meanwhile, yesterday’s Monday session concluded with a price of the North American currency that amounted to $905,10.
The drop observed in recent days in the price of the currency is due to precise reasons. First, the exchange intervention of the Central Bank with the injection of dollars into the national market (US$25 billion)then the rise in the price of copper at the time and finally the weakening experienced by the currency at the international level.
