The President of APOCE made a point of stressing, in the same vein, that cars imported by dealers are purchased with the currency of the Bank of Algeria, ie at the official rate.
It should be noted that new cars, unlike less than three years old, are purchased with the official bank currency rate. Therefore, it is quite normal that the price is affordable, he says.
What regarding importing cars less than 5 years old?
No later than last week, Mustapha Zebdi, pointed out that his organization had sent a letter to deputies in which it proposes to raise the maximum age of second-hand vehicles to 5 years.
Apoce took this initiative as soon as the presentation of the 2023 Finance Law (recently adopted by the APN). We have submitted to the Finance Commission the proposal to increase the age of imported used vehicles to 5 years, with several supporting arguments, he announced.
According to him, members of the Finance Committee have made changes to the text of the law and presented a proposal in which the age of imported used cars is increased to 5 years.
