+0.06€/l of unleaded, +0.12€/l of diesel and +0.46€ per 12.5 kg gas bottle. These are the price increases that will impact the budget of Guadeloupean households, at the start of the 2023 school year.
As usual at the beginning of the month, the prefecture of Guadeloupe is revising the prices of petroleum products, setting maximums. At midnight tomorrow (Friday, September 1, 2023), all sliders will be pushed up.
Indeed, the prices of super unleaded, diesel and bottled gas are all on the rise, compared to August.
Super unleaded: €1.85/l including tax, an increase of €0.06/l; Diesel: €1.70/l, an increase of €0.12/l; 12.5 kg gas bottle: €19.46/l, an increase of 0.46.
“These maximum prices are calculated in two stages”recalls the Palace of Orléans in Basse-Terre.
First of all, the maximum prices excluding tax are established by taking into account the costs borne by the companies, the return on capital and, where applicable, their commercial margin.
Then, the amounts of the various applicable taxes are added, in particular local indirect taxation, the rates and tariffs of which are determined by the Regional Council, with a view to financing local authorities.
“Unlike France, the State collects neither VAT nor internal consumption tax on energy products (TICPE) on fuels consumed in Guadeloupe.adds the prefecture, in its press release.
According to the determinants of the monthly evolution presented, all the lights are red and explain this new increase in the prices imposed on Guadeloupe users: the prices are all progressing.
