The sport version of the TXL is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, which in Russia was derated from 249 to 197 horsepower (torque in the Russian specification is 375 Nm once morest 385 Nm in China). The engine has aluminum pistons, double overhead camshafts, 16 valves, variable displacement oil pump, direct injection with fuel rail and high pressure fuel pump and iHEC high efficiency combustion process, and an electronically controlled turbine.
The two-liter unit is paired with a seven-speed SAGW robotic gearbox with two “wet” clutches. The drive is full, with a clutch on the rear axle.
