The courtyard of the 2nd Lyceum of Preveza turned into a “ring”, as an incident of violence between minors took place and with the Police making eight arrests after a 17-year-old student was attacked and beaten in the courtyard of the school.
The incident, according to ertnews, occurred at noon, when the 16-year-old student of the 2nd Lyceum was the victim of a beating by four 17-year-old students of EPAL. The victim was taken to Preveza Hospital by his parents for medical treatment.
The school management reported the incident to the police who, after an investigation, arrested the four students who allegedly participated in the beating, as well as their guardians, who are accused of neglecting to supervise minors. All those arrested were released, after the establishment of a case file, by order of the Prosecutor.
The incident once again raises concerns about the violence of minors in schools, a phenomenon that has also been recorded in other regions of the country.
