Health » Preventing cardiovascular disease is the goal of the health bus run by Unisanté (University Center for General Medicine and Public Health, in Lausanne). He will be present on the place de l’Eglise in Avenches on Saturday and Sunday, then in Payerne on the square in front of the Coop on June 28 and 29.
As the press release from Unisanté explains, the center offers everyone a check-up focused on screening for risk factors for cardiovascular disease.
The consultation, costing 40 francs, lasts 30 minutes and takes place in two parts. A series of tests is first carried out: blood sample, diabetes screening or even blood pressure measurement. A health professional then offers personalized advice.
Unisanté recalls that cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in Switzerland, accounting for nearly a third of deaths. NH
