“I had a nice summer, I didn’t do anything special.” As in previous years, she would have tried to start skiing a little later and worked a lot in the physical area. «Everything went well, I had no problems. The last week in Zermatt was brilliant. The slope was great. I’m doing well.”

“My first priority is to get through the season healthy and try to ski well,” says the 32-year-old. She hopes to be able to translate the work from the summer into good results in the winter. The plan is to also complete the races on the calendar. “I’m physically ready, now it’s time to refine the details on the skis.”

As a result, I had problems with my knee and asked myself what I should do, whether it made sense and whether I still wanted to do it.”

But now things are different. “I feel good and I’m not thinking regarding quitting.” Gut-Behrami continued: “If I were seriously thinking regarding resigning, I wouldn’t be happy regarding little things.” She would give everything to be successful on skis once more. Maybe the World Cup in Saalbach in 2025 is the goal, maybe your career will end earlier. Gut-Behrami can’t say yet.

Gut-Behrami has a very clear answer: “The pressure,” she says. “You get up every day and there’s pressure to be healthy,” says the Ticino native.
