Exhibition “Cactus Cartoon Award”
Linz – We invite you to Press tour to the exhibition “Kaktus Cartoon Award” in the Schlossmuseum Linz.
The international caricature prize “Kaktus” was announced for the first time this year. Professional caricaturists were invited to submit their best work climate change and Climate justice to submit.
The response was enormous: over 500 cartoonists from over 80 countries submitted more than 1,700 cartoons!
The top-class, international jury of experts in the fields of caricature, satire, law and environmental protection selected the best works from the submissions, which will now be presented in an exhibition.
The different positions show that we are not alone in our efforts to protect the environment and that the whole world is concerned regarding it.
You can see elaborate drawings, sketchy works, drastic visions of the future and funny cartoons. Regardless of whether cartoonists are from China or the USA, India, Russia or Ukraine, Iran, Europe, South America, Asia, Australia or Africa – the topic unites us all.
In the evening, the winners of the first Kaktus Cartoon Award will be chosen at an award ceremony and the exhibition will be officially opened.
