The closing ceremony of the second edition of the Congolese Scientific Engineering Forum interested the newspapers published this Friday in Kinshasa. Addressing this subject in its columns, Free debate specifies:

« This Thursday at the People’s Palace marquee, Head of State Félix Tshisekedi chaired the closing ceremony of the second edition of the Congolese Scientific Engineering Forum. The President of the Republic visited the inventors/innovators’ stands, before presenting medals to the winners.« .

Also speaking about this activity, Africanews indicated that on this occasion, the Head of State expressed his determination to support scientific research and technological innovation in the DR Congo.

The Journal said, for his part, that the Head of State also requested that the innovations selected during this forum benefit from broad promotion and real support by the
government.


For this part, Africa’s Opinion focused on the recommendation of the Minister of Scientific Research and Technological Innovation. Gilbert Kabanda advocated for the establishment of a bill to be initiated by the Suminwa government and submitted to Parliament as soon as possible, for the creation and organization of a sovereign fund to support the scientific and technological development of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Prosperity for her part, returned to the genesis of the event by announcing that this activity was opened last Monday. This second forum, she said, had the objective of promoting inventions “Made in Congo” and of involving the Congolese scientific elite in the development of the country.
