Two thirds of Iași city halls entered the digital age for nothing. Taxes and “operation” are still paid as in Moromete’s time
Only a third of the town halls of the communes in Iaşi county are connected to ghişeul.ro, a platform with the help of which people can pay online local taxes and fees, as well as other public services.
The mayors claim that they would like to, but they do not have the money to implement such a payment system, having more important pending projects than the integration of digital in the area of public services. Of the 93 administrative-territorial units (UAT) in Iaşi County, only 29 are enrolled on the online payment platform.
“To tell you the truth, I had no money. I had other investments and I still made savings to be able to finish them. It is regarding some schools, dispensary (…), projects for which we needed money. I am aware that we need to connect on gişeul.ro, but we will see in the future”, is the position of Dan Ghebuţă, the mayor of Mădârjac commune, one of the local administrations not connected, writes Ziarul de Iasi
The first reaction from the PSD in the scandal of Minister Marius Budai who approached women at night: Excessive alcohol consumption is not an excuse for harassment
Marius Budăi, the Minister of Labor, caused two incidents, according to several testimonies from the PSD for Freedom. In August 2022, at a hotel in Olimp, he called a deputy at night, claim concordant sources from the party. Her husband had to go down to the reception to intervene. In January 2023, at the Mara Hotel in Sinaia, Budai had new slip-ups, also with women. In both cases, sources say the minister had consumed alcohol.
The PSD sent 37 women to the Parliament, and the president of the women’s organization is even Marius Budai’s direct party leader. Doina Federovici, president of Botoșani PSD, the branch of which the labor minister is a member, did not answer Libertatea’s questions regarding her party colleague. Read the article in Liberty.
Why so many employees in Romania have romantic relationships at work
Normally, I would have started such an article with a case example relevant to the topic, but as soon as I started thinking regarding finding one, stories from all my friends’ workplaces started to collide in my mind my. Everyone is familiar with this kind of relationship, being either directly involved in such a situation, as witnesses, or sometimes, as collateral victims of an office relationship. “I might have had 100 relationships at the office – come on, maybe not 100, yes, 90 for sure”, says a friend, an employee of a multinational company, who has been working in the same company for 15 years, when I brought up this topic. . “
Even the human resources director has such a relationship now. He leaves the office at different time intervals than a colleague; but he is waiting for her by car near the office. Another colleague took leave at the same time as a colleague who took medical leave – the problem is that, being in the same department, the remaining ones now have to take care of the work of both”, my friend, employed in a company with regarding 2,000 people spread nationally, writes Business Magazin
Kompromat with unknown author: Six files. Six prosecutors. Six investigations. Zero suspects
Exactly one year ago – on February 17, 2022, at 10:29 a.m. – I was sending a screenshot on WhatsApp to a deputy police commissioner that would become evidence in a criminal case. At 14:51, on the same day, that screenshot was published on the website of the criminal Cristian Rizea, who has been evading his sentence across the border, in the Republic of Moldova, for four years;
The first certainty: between 10:29 and 14:51 of that day, at least six senior officers of the Romanian Police received from the case officer, on their own phones, the screenshot published on the website of the criminal Cristian Rizea at only 40 minutes following I finished drafting the criminal complaint for violation of privacy;
The second certainty: 365 days later, despite public statements by which the Romanian state promised to treat the case with maximum responsibility – and despite the fact that the EU & US embassies and international organizations for the protection of journalists are following the case – the Romanian judiciary has atomized the case into six separate files, investigated by six prosecutors from six separate prosecutor’s offices, writes PressOne
Why Timișoara is the European Cultural Capital
Friday officially opens the year in which Timișoara will be the European cultural capital. A title that he wants to show that, in fact, he has always carried. Three visions of the city, with Baniciu, Gazda and Obradov. “With such a group of edifices, it would be a shame to shut ourselves in between us, Hungarians, to close the gates and not leave anyone here,” says Gazda Istvan, who shepherd the community. “It was also normal to open up to the city. And the city appreciates us. Whoever comes to us and sees what we’ve done appreciates us, and we’ve always been applauded.”
At the end of last year, the Ion Monoran Association gave, here, under the dome of the new reformed church, the opportunity for young poets and writers to read from their creations, in an event where two acclaimed jazz musicians, Raul Kusak and Vali Cold. “We decided to organize the festival of early music, jazz concerts or even authentic folk music. We will also bring an exhibition regarding the synagogues in this area. Wherever there were Jews, even in the villages – the pharmacist, the shopkeeper”, the pastor recounts, quoted by DW
A law that can turn thousands of young people into criminals, just for the state to appear to be doing something
A new draft law that stipulates imprisonment from 3 to 10 years for drug use was adopted on Wednesday by the Chamber of Deputies. If this project were to come into force, people who are caught having bought and consumed marijuana, a drug legalized in more and more countries in Europe and the US, will no longer have the right to pay a fine for their act.
