When he got off the presidential plane, the Head of State was warmly welcomed by his Mauritanian counterpart, President Mohamed Ould El Ghazaouani, who offered an official banquet in his honor.

The President of the Republic then went to the Mauritanian presidential palace to meet with his counterpart.
The discussions mainly focused on economic and commercial relations between the two countries, in particular the sharing of the GTA gas field, the Rosso bridge, as well as fishing agreements.
