Coordinator of the Indonesian Presidential Special Staff Ari Dwipayana said that the security of Indonesian President Joko Widodo is always the highest priority of Paspampres. This was stated in response to the shooting of Donald Trump during the campaign.
“Fully supported by other security forces,” Ari told reporters, Sunday (14/7).
Paspampres always acts vigilantly, while still providing flexible space for President Jokowi to interact with the people, but security is maintained.
Previously, Donald Trump, the US presidential candidate from the Republican Party, was shot in the ear, during the US Presidential Election campaign.
The man suspected of carrying out the shooting was reportedly killed in a Secret Service ambush following attempting to assassinate Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
In addition to trying to kill Trump, the Secret Service report said the attack also killed one person in the crowd. Two others were critically injured. (Z-8)
