Helsinki – According to initial partial results, the center-right candidate Alexander Stubb is in the lead in the runoff election for the new president in Finland. According to data from the Ministry of Justice on Sunday evening, the former prime minister received 52.7 percent of the vote. His Green opponent Pekka Haavisto had 47.3 percent. So far, around 58 percent of the votes cast have been counted.
