Emergency accommodation, boarding houses: Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s paths once morest poverty
The Parisian unveiled on Tuesday some of the measures once morest poverty that Jean-Luc Mélenchon must present in detail tomorrow, with the objective “zero homeless” in 2027.
“Since the start of Emmanuel Macron’s five-year term, the number of new social housing units has decreased by 30%”, tackles the candidate of La France insoumise in the presidential election, which intends to create places and emergency accommodation centers in the old hospitals, the old barracks and “other major public buildings”.
It would be a question of withdrawing these places from the appetite of the promoters. Jen-Luc Mélenchon has in mind in particular the Hôtel-Dieu, a third of the buildings of which were entrusted in 2019 to the promoter Novaxia to install there in particular a start-up incubator.
The candidate also calls for the return of boarding houses, small structures in which a “host” helps residents in their efforts.
In addition, evictions would be prohibited if they are not accompanied by a proposal for rehousing in public housing.
Jean-Luc Mélenchon wants to devote 3.7 billion euros per year to his entire program once morest poverty.
