At the meeting, Prime Minister Kishida is expected to put the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant’s discharge plan for contaminated water on the agenda, and actively mention self-monitoring plans and safety.

In this regard, a presidential office official said, “Under the principle of ‘putting the health and safety of our people first,’ the Korean government will clearly clarify its position on the issues raised by the Japanese side.” said.

Meanwhile, President Yoon will attend the NATO summit held in Lithuania on the 11th and 12th as an observer, and at the meeting, President Yoon will adopt bilateral cooperation documents with NATO in 11 areas, including non-proliferation and cyber security.

In addition, he will host the AP4 (Korea-Japan-Australia-New Zealand) summit held on the occasion of the NATO summit.

Spokesperson Lee said, “There are so many talks in two days, so the time may be a little shorter than the previous bilateral or multilateral talks.” said.
