Real Meter Capture

Traditionally, North Korea and security issues have brought regarding a rebound in approval ratings through the gathering of conservatives, but the evaluation of President Yoon’s state affairs has only changed within the margin of error compared to last week.

Bae Cheol-ho, a senior expert at Realmeter, explained that the reason the North Korea issue did not lead to a meaningful rise in approval ratings was that “the issue has shifted to a frame confrontation between the ‘pro-North Korea’ and ‘pro-Japanese’ camps and the chronic insensitivity of the threat to North Korea.”

In the positive evaluation change, senior expert Bae paid attention to the fact that “the middle class showed a change within the margin of error, while the shaman class showed a decrease from 18.8% last week to 10% today.” It is expected to respond more sensitively to economic solutions such as interest rate hikes and inflation rather than security issues,” he predicted.

The margin of error of this survey is ±2.2%p at the 95% confidence level.
