President Yoon Seok-yeol will go on his first summer vacation since taking office today (1st).
A key official in the presidential office said, “President Yoon has scheduled a summer vacation from the 1st to the 5th.
“President Yoon has had a very tight schedule since taking office, and this vacation will be an important opportunity and time to recharge,” he said.
The presidential office did not disclose the exact vacation destination of President Yoon, but Geoje Island, Gyeongnam, where past presidents visited during their vacation, is mentioned as a vacation destination.
President Yoon is likely to look back over the past two months following taking office and consider ways to rebound the approval rating of the state government, which has fallen to the 20% level.
Current issues such as economic issues for people’s livelihood, a special amnesty for Liberation Day, and a message to be included in the Liberation Day congratulatory speech are also expected to be included in the worries during the holiday period.
