President Yoon met with NATO Secretary-General and emphasized that security in the Atlantic and Indo-Pacific cannot be separated from each other.

At the same time, we expanded the scope and depth of cooperation in areas such as counter-terrorism, disarmament, non-proliferation, and emerging technologies, and formed a consensus of international cooperation on the North Korean nuclear issue.

A series of bilateral talks were also held.

During the day, President Yoon met with the leaders of seven countries, including New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Hungary, to discuss ways to cooperate in areas such as security and advanced technology.

The issue of contaminated water in Fukushima is expected to rise to the agenda, and an official from the Presidential Office said, “Contaminated water will be an opportunity to strengthen trust in the process of overcoming difficulties due to the natural disaster that occurred 12 to 13 years ago.”

President Yoon is also expected to attend the NATO Summit to seek ways to cooperate in security cooperation between the North American and European free camps and the Asia-Pacific region.

President Yoon, who will move to Poland as soon as the NATO summit is concluded, is expected to deal with the participation of Korean companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine as a major agenda item.
