“President, today we must get moving,” Arnaud Robinet, Horizons mayor of Reims, is getting impatient on franceinfo on Wednesday August 14, while Emmanuel Macron has still not named the future Prime Minister, five weeks after the second round of early legislative elections. “We’ve had a fantastic time with the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but today, let’s get back to work and set a course.” He believes that the head of state must “hurry” to find “a person of consensus”.

We cannot continue like this for a year and another dissolution. The challenges are immense. There is a budget to vote on in the coming weeks,” he recalls.
Even if finding an agreement between the left and the right”“is not going to be easy”, Arnaud Robinet believes that figures like Bernard Cazeneuve, Gérard Larcher and Xavier Bertrand can unite and lead a government, unlike Lucie Castets.
