President Tatar visited the Disaster Coordination Center in Hatay

President Ersin Tatar visited the Disaster Coordination Center in Hatay… Stating that an extraordinary effort is being made to alleviate the suffering in the region, Tatar said that he is very pleased with the efforts to return to normal life with unity and solidarity.

Stressing that the Republic of Turkey is a strong state, as all the heads of state expressed at the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of the Turkish States, Tatar said, “The Republic of Turkey has the power, authority and capacity to overcome all this destruction, this whole disaster. He is capable of it.”

President Ersin Tatar visited the Disaster Coordination Center in Hatay and was briefed by Deputy Minister of Interior İsmail Çataklı.

Afterwards, President Tatar made a statement to the press and wished God’s mercy to those who lost their lives in the earthquake and healing to the injured.

Stating that hearts have been broken since February 6, Tatar said, “As the Turkish Cypriot people, we always share this pain of Anatolia and Turkey in unity and solidarity in pain and joy. At the moment, there is an extraordinary effort and an extraordinary effort to overcome all these difficulties, heal the wounds, and help our people find a home, place and life once more, with a very diligent management approach in extraordinary conditions, during this period at the AFAD center,” he said.

Stating that an extraordinary effort is being made to alleviate the suffering in the region, Tatar said that he is watching with great pleasure the efforts to return to normal life with unity and solidarity.

Noting that all Turkish states and their leaders are trying to do their part in this disaster that Turkey has been through, Tatar stated that this process is being managed in the best way under the leadership of Turkish President Erdogan and that the wounds will heal as soon as possible.

Tatar said, “We are visiting the region to say ‘get well soon’ to our people and to share our feelings for AFAD administrators that the Turkish Cypriot people and the Republic of Turkey should support each other in such situations,” said Tatar. He also reminded that he had lost a relative.

Stressing that 49 TRNC citizens who were in Turkey died in the earthquake, Tatar said, “Our pain is great, we share your pain. May Allah give us all patience and give us strength. The Republic of Turkey is a strong state, as all the heads of state expressed at the Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Turkish States. It has the power, authority and capacity to overcome all this destruction, this whole disaster. It is capable of it. I would like to underline this once once more. I once once more wish our nation to get well soon,” he said.

Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu accompanied President Tatar during his visits.
