President of the Tyrolean Medical Association for suspending compulsory vaccination

Tyrol’s Medical Association President Artur Wechselberger speaks out “at least for a suspension” of the decided vaccination requirement. Among other things, you have to ask yourself whether it is “still absolutely necessary to accept this division in society,” said Wechselberger in the APA interview. In addition, the head of the Medical Association called for an end to all corona measures and a complete return to normality as soon as the omicron wave is over.

When it comes to compulsory vaccination, one also has to ask oneself whether, given the constantly improving situation, it is still necessary and proportionate to stir up fears among many people. “And what added value can one expect from compulsory vaccination if one is aware that one will never reach 100 percent, that we already have a really high level of vaccination coverage and already have a very high infection rate,” argued Wechselberger.
