Mohammed Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Managing Director and CEO of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, appreciated the visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, and Yoon Seok Yul, President of the Republic of Korea, to the Barakah Peaceful Nuclear Power Plants, which comes within the framework of the wise leadership’s support for this project. and its pivotal role in securing environmentally friendly energy, and fulfilling the country’s commitments to reduce the carbon footprint.
Al Hammadi said: “The Barakah plants have established their model for all nuclear energy projects around the world, and have also contributed to highlighting the pioneering role of the United Arab Emirates in the process of transforming environmentally friendly energy sources in the world, thanks to the forward-looking vision of the wise leadership, as the Emirates Foundation has developed Nuclear energy, in cooperation with our Korean partners, is a new model for financing and developing an advanced nuclear energy project, which contributes significantly to accelerating the reduction of the carbon footprint of the energy sector in the country.
He added, “The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, through this strategic partnership, has made remarkable progress and important achievements, the latest of which was the operation of the third plant.”
