President of Colombia cancels event in Cartagena due to health problems

Colombia.- President Gustavo Petro canceled the event he had this Thursday morning in Cartagena due to health problems, according to sources from RCN Mundo.

The president did not attend the event of the Colombian Confederation of Cooperatives of Colombia (Confecor), because he would have been left without a voice. For several weeks, Petro Urrego has stated in repeated public interventions that he has the flu.

On the followingnoon of this Thursday, the president also had an agenda planned in an event with national and foreign magistrates in the city of Valledupar. However, his attendance has not been confirmed.

It should be remembered that President Gustavo Petro will travel in the coming days to the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York, where he will give a speech on Tuesday, September 20. The trip is scheduled for this Sunday.

In addition, this Friday the Binding Regional Dialogues begin in Turbaco (Bolívar), one to cover 50 territories until November to listen to the populations and create the National Development Plan.
