President Moon Jae-in said, “Recently, North Korea is testing missiles one following another, but we have superior missile capabilities and defense capabilities.”

President Moon attended the graduation and commissioning ceremony of the 3rd Military Academy today and said, “The driving force that was able to turn the North Korean nuclear crisis into a phase of dialogue and promote the peace process on the Korean Peninsula is strong national defense.”

“The global security environment is rapidly changing as the international order fluctuates and conflicts between great powers are expressed,” he said.

“Right now, deterrence of inter-Korean war is the top security task, but the geopolitical situation on the Korean Peninsula is always a severe security environment,” he said.

“The peace and prosperity we enjoy has been achieved on a strong foundation of security,” President Moon said.

The Blue House explained, “President Moon became the first president to attend all the graduation and commissioning ceremonies of five military academies, including the Army, Navy and Air Force Academy and the Armed Forces Nursing Academy,” the Blue House said.
