President Moon Jae-in urged President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol to meet without conditions and ask for a direct decision.
President-elect Yoon’s side immediately said it was regrettable for President Moon’s remarks, and it appears that they are clashing over the issue of meeting once once more.

President Moon Jae-in mentioned the meeting with Yoon Seok-yeol, the president-elect, who has been idling for two weeks.
<박수현 / 청와대 국민소통수석> “I’ve never heard of a president-elect saying that negotiations and conditions were necessary to prevent the president. I hope you don’t listen to others and make your own judgement.”
It was not meant to hold a meeting with the elected president, but repeatedly conveyed the intention to meet without any conditions. In particular, President Moon urged President-elect Yoon to make the meeting decision on his own.
President Moon asked, “What kind of negotiation is necessary for two people to meet and greet and share good wishes?” and also directly conveyed his feelings, saying, “It’s frustrating.”
President-elect Yoon’s side immediately responded, saying, “I’m sorry.”

President-elect Kim Eun-hye, a spokeswoman for the newly elected president, said it was difficult to agree with the evaluation of the meeting between the two people as a ‘place to share goodwill’ in a situation where the government handover was not smooth.
The previous day, the Blue House and the elected president had a battle for truth regarding the nomination of the governor of the Bank of Korea, and once once more clashed head-on.
It is pointed out that, in fact, the meeting between President Moon and President-elect Yoon is becoming increasingly distant as both sides show extremely sensitive reactions to every word exchanged.
However, some observers are raising the observation that a meeting between the two people might be achieved dramatically with urgent security issues as a link, as President Moon directly ordered close communication with President-elect Yoon in relation to North Korea’s intercontinental ballistic missile and ICBM launch.
