The President of the Republic, Macky Sall, received, this Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the Palace a delegation from the American Congress, according to the communication services of the Presidency.
“This followingnoon, the Head of State received a delegation from the American Congress. The United States thus intends to intensify their economic and military cooperation with Senegal”, can we read in a post published on the Facebook page of the Presidency of the Republic.

“Washington and Dakar are determined to build solid cooperation, particularly in the area of security. During this meeting, the American Congress praised the quality of the partnership with Senegal,” the note added.
“The resurgence of coups in Africa was also on the menu of discussions. In this regard, the members of the American Congress seek the leadership of President Macky SALL for the strengthening of democracy on the continent”, concludes the note from the Presidency.
