“We continue to finalize preparations for the opening on Sunday (6/10) the day after tomorrow. Since Tuesday (1/10), thousands of athletes and officials representing 34 contingents have been present in Solo City and are ready to make Peparnas XVII a success,” said the Chief Executive of Peparnas XVII, DB Susanto, Thursday evening. (3/10).
Since September 28, Solo’s Manahan Stadium has been repaired and polished to become the opening venue. If it goes according to plan, Peparnas XVII will be opened by President Jokowi. “We have invited the President to open Peparnas XVII 2024. The information we have received at the moment is that he plans to attend in person. We have also coordinated with palace protocols. We are still waiting for confirmation in the next two days,” he added.

It is hoped that the presence of the Head of State to open this year’s edition of Peparnas will provide more enthusiasm, both for athletes and officials as well as the organizing committee. A total of 9,895 tickets were distributed to the public for free through a quiz held on the official PEPARNAS XVII Solo 2024 website peparnas17.id, Tuesday (1/10/2024). These tickets were sold out in just 24 hours.
