President Joe Biden’s Son Indicted; 10 years imprisonment possible

US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden has been indicted on 3 charges. Hunter Joe Biden was charged with illegal possession of a firearm and making a false statement to mislead police, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

The US president’s son was accused of telling a lie when he bought the gun five years ago that he was not a drug user, and later admitted that he was a heavy drug user.

Recall that these charges against Hunter Biden were filed in 2018 by Justice Department Special Counsel David Weiss.

Analysts have said that if Hunter Biden, 53, is convicted, it could adversely affect his father Joe Biden’s re-election campaign.

On the other hand, the opposition party Republicans alleged that efforts are being made to save President Joe Biden’s son, but no evidence was provided regarding this allegation.

This isn’t the first time that Hunter Biden could be a detriment to his father Joe Biden’s political career. Earlier, a woman claimed to be Hunter’s friend and the mother of his daughter.

Lyndon Roberts, a resident of Arkansas, also filed a paternity claim for her daughter against Hunter Biden in 2018, but the US president’s son denied it.

However, it was proved through DNA that the said girl belongs to Hunter Biden. In 2021, President Joe Biden’s son Hunter also admitted that the relationship took place while he was suffering from alcohol and drug addiction.

After which, on August 1, US President Joe Biden acknowledged the 4-year-old daughter of Hunter Biden and his friend, Navy Joan Roberts, as his granddaughter for the first time, and asked that the privacy related to her be kept in mind.

“Our son Hunter and my granddaughter’s mother are working together to develop a relationship that is in our daughter’s best interest,” President Biden said in his statement.

Remember that Hunter Biden is married and has four children. His wife’s name is Melissa Cohen.
