According to the World News Agency, US President Joe Biden has arrived in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, at a time when preparations are being made to celebrate Defense Day on the completion of one year of Russia’s attack in Ukraine.

Due to President Joe Biden’s expected visit to Ukraine, Russia had threatened missile attacks, but ignoring it, the American President reached Ukraine, but this visit was made without prior notice.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the US president and took him on a walkabout around the central area of ​​the capital Kiev under heavy security, during which the two leaders discussed the Russian invasion and other important issues.

Later, the two leaders held a formal meeting in which President Joe Biden assured Ukraine of more weapons and other military equipment in the war against Russia.

In a statement released by the White House, President Joe Biden will announce the delivery of artillery ammunition, anti-armor systems, and aerial surveillance radars to Ukraine.

The US president’s visit comes as EU foreign ministers meet in Brussels to discuss a joint purchase of ammunition to supply Ukraine in its fight against Russia.

It should be noted that Russia attacked Ukraine in February last year and annexed four of its regions to its state and is still continuing missile attacks on Ukraine.
