The United States and the United Kingdom carried out strikes on Friday January 12 on the Houthi rebels in Yemen, who have increased attacks on ships in the Red Sea in recent weeks, according to several American media.
Joe Biden, the American president, confirmed that they had been “successfully carried out strikes once morest a number of targets in Yemen, used by the Houthi rebels to endanger freedom of navigation” in the Red Sea.
The American president specified that this operation had benefited from the “support” of Australia, Bahrain, Canada and the Netherlands, and warned, in a press release, that he “would not hesitate” to “order other measures” if necessary.
