Asuncion, IP Agency.- The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, participated this Saturday in the event for the 45th anniversary of the company Inpaco SA and the inauguration of the expansion of its industrial plant, in the city of Villeta. He was accompanied by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Javier Giménez.
The president highlighted the long history of the Paraguayan company, emphasizing the patriotism and big dreams that motivated them to invest in their own country, generating work, quality and development for the country. He also encouraged industrialists and entrepreneurs to dream big.
Peña highlighted the work of the head of the MIC in supporting the Government of Paraguay to dream big, to invest in the national industry and Paraguayans, eliminating barriers between the public and private sectors.
The head of state confirmed his administration’s position of being determined to change, to invest in national industry, and to invest in Paraguayans.
During the celebration of the 45th anniversary of the operation and opening of the new industrial plant in Villeta, the president insisted that there is no need to fear dreaming big and being ambitious in order to achieve development.
“I think that 45 years ago, when they brought him here, those three shareholders had a little responsibility to dream big, and we don’t have to be afraid of that, we don’t have to be afraid to dare,” said Peña.
After his participation in the event, he expressed through his social networks that the Government is on the side of those who invest and generate opportunities for Paraguayans and highlighted the opening of a new industrial plant in Villeta, thus consolidating his vision for the future.
Paraguayan products with the highest quality
Minister Javier Giménez celebrated the growth of a Paraguayan company like Inpaco, thanks to its focus on quality since its beginnings. He said that the company managed to export to Brazil and Bolivia, generating qualified employment at the local level.
“Today, after 45 years, we can see the fruit of a strategic decision to support and focus on quality. We have an industry that is a national emblem and a reference, once again, to what is a product of Paraguayan hands with a very high degree of quality,” he said.
Since 2005, the company has been entirely nationally owned, and 83% of the shareholders are women. The company was established in 1979 with Brazilian and Paraguayan capital. It marks a milestone in the manufacture of protected medium voltage cables in 2024.
The Paraguayan Copper Industry SA, INPACO is the first company in Paraguay dedicated to the manufacture of more than 500 types of insulated copper and aluminum cables for low voltage and bare cables for low and medium voltage.
