In an extensive Public Account, the President Gabriel Boric highlighted as a great milestone for his government the accomplishment of the Santiago 2023 Pan American and Parapan American Gamesasked “dignity” for Chilean athletes and even pointed the sports scene towards the realization of the World Cup 2030.
In his analysis, the Head of State analyzed what the organization of the sporting event will mean for Chile, recalling the occasion where our country hosted the 1962 World Cup, pointing out that “That spirit continues to inspire us ever since”.
The President also thanked “To all Chileans who make sport a part of their day to day”, to then highlight the national karate team, which achieved a historic bichampionship in the Pan American of Costa Rica.
“They represent the effort of so many Chilean athletes, who often in precarious conditions, without supportthey take it forward. Dignity for all of them, that’s what it’s all regarding,” said Boric, before the gaze of the Minister of Sport, Jaime Pizarro.

Later in his speech, President Gabriel Boric asserted in the importance of doing sporteven, leading to the influence of said activity in a latent problem at the national level: crime.

Along these lines, the president added that the realization of the Pan American Games is the most important event held in the country following the 1962 World Cup″, to later deliver his expectations for another important event: the 2030 Soccer World Cup.
