President Gabriel Boric lived moments of laughter and relaxation during his speech at the University of La Sorbonne in Paris (France), where he spoke regarding the fight once morest corruption and the strengthening of democracy.

In his speech, the president said that as a result of the Agreements case, he is concerned that we can “establish a new trust among citizens, but also between citizens and their institutions.”

Then, the President referred to inequalities and quoted one of the last interviews of the French sociologist Alain Touraine, during a visit to Chile.

It was here that the president began to speak of solidarity and intentionally alluded to a “living democracy,” the same name as the controversial foundation that received funds from the Antofagasta Housing Seremi.

“When solidarity is expressed institutionally, it is also a sign of a living democracy (…) It is not the best name at the moment (…) Of a democracy that beats with force”, Boric said with a smile.

Even when he began to talk regarding his learning on this tour of Europe, Boric took a break to carefully analyze the words he was going to say.

“When I start to relax, then the problematic wedges come out, so I’m going to try to contain myself (…) stick to it,” the head of state said with a laugh.
