President Gabriel Boric’s European Tour: Strengthening Economic Ties and Attracting Foreign Investment

Foreign Minister Alberto Van Klaveren defended Gabriel Boric’s presidential tour of different European countries.

The Head of State will visit Belgium to participate in a Summit between the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac).

will also perform official visits to Spain and France, with an economic agenda and attraction of foreign investment. In addition, it will land in Switzerland to finalize the admission of Chile as an associate member at CERNone of the largest research centers in the world.

From the opposition they have maintained that Boric is going on a “vacation” to Europe and they questioned him for leaving the country in the midst of the investigations into the Agreements Case.

Even RN deputies presented a constitutional reform to prevent the President of the Republic from traveling in the event of serious internal crises.

On the other hand, the delegation will be made up of Rosario Navarro, president of the Factory Development Society (Sofofa), and Susana Jiménez, vice president of the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC).
