The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro swore this Friday that the Command Staff that accredits him as Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) will remain in good hands in the years to come and that “It will never fall into hands of an oligarch, of a puppet, of a traitor!”
“When we say that we are anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist it is because we are determined to take our own reins and decisions,” said the head of state following concluding the Civic-Military parade on the occasion of the 213th anniversary of the signing of the Independence and Day Act. of the FANB, an activity that took place on the Paseo Monumental de los Próceres, in Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas.
He stressed that he has preserved the “most precious asset left by the country’s liberators and Commander Chávez, which is independence.”
“We are a free and sovereign country, and also in peace. Today I congratulate the entire Superior General Staff of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces and its four components: Aviation, National Guard, Army, Navy and the Militia,” he indicated.
Referring to the Civic-Military parade, Maduro stressed that today is shown “everything that can be shown, but we know the extraordinary capabilities that we have created for combat in modern times, we have our secret weapon and it is the people in arms. We also have support from countries that have cutting-edge drone and anti-drone combat technology, such as our sister Russia, China, and Iran.”
“Let no one be mistaken regarding Venezuela, we are a nation of peace, we love peace, but we are warriors and if you want peace, prepare to defend it, conquer it and preserve it. I have never trembled at any threat from the north, or from anyone, the baton of command is in good hands and today I swear before you, soldiers of my country, that this baton that I have carried with courage, will remain in good hands in the years to come. “, confirmed the head of state.
In turn, he pointed out that today Venezuela saw the character of the FANB: “I have seen your strength, I have seen Bolívar parade here as a people, youth, we have also seen our General Rafael Urdaneta, Francisco de Miranda and this year 2024, “like never before, the FANB has sung the profound anthem of the victorious people.”
Maduro emphasized that Venezuela will not accept the installation of American military bases in the country. “We do not want them to turn our country into a base for the North American empire, ever!” He stated.
