The ex-president Evo Morales denounced on Sunday (06.11.2023) that the government of the president of BoliviaLuis Arce, has a plan to destroy it with some “montage” or “demand” for denouncing “protection of drug trafficking” and “corruption” in the current administration.
“I want to alert the Bolivian people that the government has a plan to destroy Evo, I repeat once more, the same people who work with the government (…) did not know with what, it will be a setup, it will be a lawsuit, an attack, I don’t know” Morales told a program on local radio station Kawsachun Coca.
Likewise, the former president wrote on his Twitter account that “for denouncing” the “protection of drug trafficking and corruption” that harm Arce’s management “they persecute, threaten and attack us with lies.”
“Let the Bolivian people know that the internal right has planned to execute its black plan to oust Evo in June,” Morales wrote.
Morales regretted that there is now a “government that came to power with the acronym of MAS” and that there are “subpoenas, investigations and persecutions.”
The ex-president questioned “What else will they invent?”, since in his opinion they already tried to accuse him of “financing drug trafficking”, they wanted to involve him in the “scandal” of the Fassil bank that its controller died when he fell from a building and that now they fail with “his diversionary operations in the tropics” from the Cochabamba plant, “while the drugs were leaving” by the state airline Boliviana de Aviación (BoA) to Spain.
Last week the Spanish authorities reported that in February 12 packages with 478 kilos of cocaine were seized on a flight that arrived from Bolivia to the Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas airport and that it is one of the largest drug shipments in recent years.
The case is being investigated in Bolivia and there are already at least eight people in preventive detention while the investigation is being carried out.
This Sunday the ruling Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) plans an enlargement to be held in La Paz, in the midst of the division of that party, some in favor of Morales and others supporting President Arce.
