The official page of the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, published on Facebook a video showing the scale of the achievement in Toshka, entitled: “What happened in Toshka?”
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi spoke today regarding the efforts made in the Toshka project, and said that groundwater reserves are dealt with according to international standards to prevent waste.
President El-Sisi said – during the inauguration of the wheat harvest season and the potato production plant in eastern Al-Awainat – that the amount of water that was used in Toshka, adding: “We are keen to benefit from all of it and modern irrigation systems.”
And President El-Sisi continued: “We are talking regarding the Toshka region on regarding 700,000 acres, which is equivalent to two governorates.
