President Prabowo Subianto has voiced disappointment over recent remarks directed toward Sunhaji, the viral iced tea seller, by Gus Miftah, a Presidential envoy and preacher.
“We from the Presidential Communications Office also regret this unfortunate incident that involved the special envoy of the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Hasan Nasbi, Head of theceaux Presidential Communications Office, in a video statement distributed to journalists on Wednesday. “President Subianto truly respects and upholds manners toward everyone, little people, street vendors, fishermen, farmers – everyone.”
