In the middle of the speech celebrating his second year as president of ChileGabriel Boric He spoke about how his government has worked on security and promised to pursue the members of the Tren de Aragua criminal gang who are in his country.
President Boric assured that there will be an unprecedented persecution against the group, of Venezuelan origin and with a presence in much of the region. Focused on Chile, The president explained that his commitment is to the peace and security of his citizens.
“We are going to be relentless,” he said. “It is brutal because of the way it is executed and because it shows that there are organized crime groups that have operational networks that end up permeating different sectors”.
In his speech he took the opportunity to congratulate the police officers who have worked throughout the country to hunt down their members, especially for the case of the murder of the Venezuelan soldier Ronald Ojeda Moreno: “A week later he established what had happened, there are detainees and the link to a criminal organization like the Tren de Aragua was established, which is being hit on different fronts”.
“We are going to give in and we are going to be relentless,” continued President Boric. “All those who are part of the Aragua Train in Chile know that we are going to pursue you through sky, sea and land. And we are going to find them, we are going to put them in prison and we are going to dismantle their organization.”.
