Written by – Walid Abdel Salam Friday, November 17, 2023 04:37 PM Directed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar Minister of Health Today, Friday, residents went to the Nasser Institute Hospital for Research and Treatment, to check on the condition of the Palestinian child, “Abdullah Al-Kahil,” who was transferred from Gaza to the Rafah crossing to complete treatment in Egypt, at the Nasser Institute Hospital, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the Minister insisted on checking himself on the health condition of the child, Abdullah Kahil, in an attempt to raise the child’s morale, indicating that the Minister has been following the child’s health condition, moment by moment, since the issuance of His Excellency the President’s instructions to transfer him from Gaza Strip via the Rafah crossing to Cairo.
Abdel Ghaffar added that the Minister met with the medical team treating the child and listened to a detailed explanation of his condition, directing him to provide all means of health care for the child and providing him with the daily treatment plan. The Minister was also reassured of the availability of all devices and supplies that would contribute to the success of the treatment plan. Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that the child suffers from a fragmentation of the left thigh bone, loss of surrounding bones and tissues, and suffers from amputation of the fingertips of the left hand and an explosion in the spleen. According to the treatment plan supervised by a group of the largest and most skilled consultants specializing in the field of orthopedics and plastic surgery, it includes stabilizing the fracture. Surgically, a skin patch is made to cover the thigh bones, and the child is scheduled to undergo several delicate surgeries. For her part, Mrs. Sabreen, the mother of the child Abdullah Al-Kahil, thanked President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for responding to her son’s call for help, expressing her gratitude for the interest of the minister and the medical team treating her son’s condition.
During the visit, the Minister of Health and Population was accompanied by Dr. Maha Ibrahim, Head of the Secretariat of Specialized Medical Centers, and Dr. Mahmoud Saeed, Director of the Nasser Institute for Research and Treatment. It is noteworthy that the Palestinian child, Abdullah Al-Kahil, sent a call for help to President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, demanding that he complete his treatment in Cairo for the serious injuries he sustained as a result of the war in Gaza. His Excellency the President responded to his call for help and directed that he be quickly transferred to Cairo and treated at the Nasser Institute.
