Presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan is a threat to the region: Munir Akram

Pakistan raised the issue of using Afghan territory for terrorist attacks in the Security Council. Munir Akram said that the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan is a threat not only to Afghanistan but also to the region.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram said in his address to the Security Council that Pakistan is facing serious threats from the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and its affiliated organizations, these organizations are involved in organized terrorism in Pakistan.

He said that the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan is a threat not only to Afghanistan but also to the region. Pakistan also demanded from the United Nations to investigate the modern military weapons in the hands of terrorists.

‘An immediate ceasefire should be made possible in Gaza’

On the issue of Gaza, Munir Akram said that it would be unfair if only Hamas was blamed, if people are killed, they will also behave in the same way, so an immediate ceasefire should be made possible in Gaza.

The Permanent Representative of Pakistan said that the world should pay attention to the one-sided massacre of Palestinians. Israel’s goal is not only to eliminate Hamas but to wipe out Palestinians and Palestine. Israel has so far dropped 25,000 tons of explosives on Gaza. As much as the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki were dropped on Gaza, both sides should be held responsible, especially Israel.
