Just two days to assume the presidency of MexicoClaudia Sheinbaum shared her reflections on her preparation and ability to lead the country in the highest executive position.
During the inauguration ceremony of the Chetumal station of the Mayan Train, the elected president Claudia Sheinbaum, accompanied by Andrés Manuel López Obrador, highlighted the achievements of the outgoing president and stated: «I tell you and the people of Mexico: I am ready, I am strong”. Furthermore, he added that “the people of Mexico are prepared to begin the second stage of the fourth transformation of public life.”

Likewise, he highlighted several programs and projects that were carried out during the López Obrador administration, including the construction of the Felipe Ángeles international airport, the creation of the Welfare Bank, the development of the Maya Train and the increase in pensions.
In her last intervention as president-elect, Sheinbaum stated that López Obrador leaves behind a “new economic model, the bases of a renewed Judicial Power, the foundations of a new thought” and “a politicized people.”
Sheinbaum will take office on October 1 at the Legislative Palace of San Lázaro, where he will receive López Obrador’s presidential sash.
