Preparations are being made for two new inductions in Pakistan Navy on Pakistan Defense Day.

According to sources, preparations are being made for two major inductions in the Pakistan Navy on the occasion of Defense Day on September 6, PNS Babar and PNS Hunain will be inducted into the Pakistan Navy simultaneously.

Sources say that the first Miljum/Babar class ship to be built in Turkey will become part of Pakistan Navy, PNS Hanin built in Romania will also join the Pakistan Navy.

President Asif Ali Zardari will be the chief guest of the event.

Construction of PNS Babar began on 4 June 2020, PNS Babar was launched on 15 August 2021 and commissioning took place on 23 September 2023.

4 Babur class ships equipped with vertical launching system are being added to Pakistan Navy, two ships are being built in Istanbul and two in Karachi under Pak-Turkey agreement.

Three other Babur class ships PNS Badr, Tariq and Khyber are currently in various stages of preparation.

The Babur-class ship is capable of simultaneous surface, underwater and air warfare. The target can be hit by a 2888 ton Babar class ship.

A third Yarmouk-class OPV 2600 has also been built at the Galati Shipyard in Romania, the Yarmouk-class ships are ranked as guided missile corvettes in the Pakistan Navy, the 98-meter long PNS Hanin has a top speed of around 24 knots. .

PNS Hunan can launch surface-to-air missiles, along with a 76 mm main gun, PNS Hunan is also equipped with two 20 mm secondary guns.

All four ships of the Yarmouk class are associated with important battles in Islamic history.

PNS Hunain will also be a great addition to the strength and capabilities of the Pakistan Navy.

The fourth and final vessel of the Yarmouk class, PNS Yamama, is undergoing completion stages.
